About us

PB-MarineTraining is a Training Centre with many years of experience in the Merchant Shipping and leisure boating Industry.
We offer the following courses:

  • Radar Courses using proper Raymarine display Units (Axiom & E120)
  • VHF Radio SRC Courses including exam immediately afterwards
  • VHF Radio Refresher Courses using proper VHF Radio sets
  • Electronic Navigation Courses using proper display Units
  • Radar Training on board your own boat

Our instructor is a British national who also speaks German fluently. His qualifications include:

  • Liverpool Technical College as Radio Officer (PMG 1st Class Certificate)
  • Marine Radar & Electronics in Hull College of Technology (BOT Certificate)
  • Marine Radar Instructor
  • Marine Radio SRC Instructor and Examiner

He spent many years at sea as Radio Officer with the South African, Canadian and British Merchant Navies. He was employed in a leading European Aviation Company, his department specialising in Design and Development of Radar Systems. Subsequently he started up PB-MarineTraining, specialised in training Skippers on equipment such as Radar, Plotter, VHF Radio and Electronic Navigation in general.
